Woman wakes up to intruder in bedroom

A 31-year-old woman was recently startled awake by a man who had burglarized her apartment then entered her bedroom.

The incident happened at around 5:20 a.m. July 24th at The Redland Apartments on Riverbend Parkway.

She told police that she was wakened by a noise and was startled by a man standing in her bedroom.

When she screamed the intruder apologized for being in the wrong apartment and went into the kitchen where he opened an alcoholic beverage then used the bathroom sink before leaving.
