Athens teen tried taking gun from police officer

Jonathan Lanier Dunn, 17, of Westwood Drive was arrested on the night of October 25th after he tried to take a gun from a police officer.
Dunn had another run in with the police in September at Clarke Central High School where he caused a major disruption that began with him allegedly threatening to shoot students and then being chased inside the building by officers before they could arrest him.
Last month’s incident happened at about 9 p.m. when police responded to reports of Dunn jumping in front of cars on Westchester Drive and threatening the occupants.
When officers arrived Dunn led them on a foot chase before stopping to sit on a ledge, and when ordered to ground he began doing pushups,
When taken into custody and while being led to a police car, Dunn reportedly struggled and grabbed an officer’s gun and yelled, “I want y’all to kill me.”
When taken to the county jail Dunn was booked in on charges of felony obstruction and attempted remove of a police ,
A bail hearing has been scheduled for November 26th.
