Homeless man threatened pedestrians in downtown Athens, fought with cops

Alumdre Lekeith Larkin was recently arrested in downtown Athens where he was threatening pedestrians and then fought with police officers.

The 31-year-old homeless man reportedly had been shouting obscenities at pedestrians and threatening them at the intersection of College Avenue and East Clayton Street at about 7 p.m. on October 24th.

He threatened to fight the police officers who approached him about his behavior and when they tried to arrest him a struggle ensued and a parked car was damaged when they all fell into it.

Larkin was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction, and criminal damage to property.

He was also served with an outstanding warrant for failing appear in court after a previous arrest on a battery charge, and is being held without bail in pretrial detention,

Sad and criminal that Athens liberals in government force families, visitors and citizens to go face to face with men like this. Your safety and rights do not matter. Anarcho tyranny.

Bus ticket and some groceries to a distant homeless friendly city could be a win /win.

Maybe send him to Asheville; no too close.

He needs a vacation from the hustle and stress in Athens and he needs more support than Athens can offer. Get with it Athens, we need to spend more!
