Downtown shooting suspect indicted for assaulting fellow prisoner in Athens jail

The woman who is charged with shooting three teenagers last fall in downtown Athens has been indicted for assaulting another prisoner in the shower at the county jail.

Tatianna Wilbon was charged with battery and riot in a penal institution for the September 8th attack on Timia Cobbs, who is jailed as the alleged accomplice in a 2024 gang murder.

Wilbon, with the help of fellow inmate Alyxza Brown, repeatedly punched Cobbs in the face and head when they found her cleaning a jail shower, according to the indictment that was filed Tuesday in Superior Court.

Brown is also charged in the indictment.

Wilbon, 24, continues to be detained without bail and she is scheduled to be arraigned on January 28th.
