East Athens police substation vandalized

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has reported vandalism to its eastside substation on Fairview Street.

Sometime between last Thursday and Monday morning a sign was taken down and set on fire between doors. The glass public entrance door and frame were damaged by a brick or stone,

A surveillance camera was not in position to record the vandalism as it occurred, a police report noted.
