Science fact of the day: American bison are over 6 feet tall

Male American Bison can reach a height of 6.5 ft fall at the hump and often grow 9 – 12.5 ft. in length.

Females are typically smaller and grow to be around 5 ft. high and 7 – 10 ft. long. Bison can weigh between 1,800 and 2,400 lbs.!
