Stop sign violation results in two felony arrests

A man and his passenger were both arrested Wednesday night after a police officer stopped their car for failing to obey a stop sign on Nellie B Avenue.

Charles Justin Walls and his passenger, Ronald Junior Malcom, were both found by the officer to be wanted on felony warrants.

Walls was wanted for a burglary in Athens and Malcom had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant.

Walls was additionally charged with possession of cocaine after he was searched and found to have some crack and a smoking pipe.

Both men were taken to the county jail, where they continue to be held without bail.
