The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said two earthquakes were reported in Georgia late Thursday night and into Friday morning.
According to the USGS, the first earthquake hit at 10:15 p.m. It had a magnitude of 2.5 and a depth of 4 kilometers.
The second quake hit around 12:30 a.m. It had a magnitude of 2.1 and a depth of 8 kilometers.
The agency said the first earthquake was 2.4 miles west northwest of Buford, Georgia. The second one was 2.7 miles northwest away.
