An Athens man was arrested Sunday for allegedly robbing pills from a man who he threatened to shoot in a westside neighborhood three months ago.
Quatravious Malik Borders, 20, of Acadia Drive was arrested on warrants charging him with robbery and aggravated assault, according to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident reportedly occurred the afternoon of March 12 when a 41-year-old Broadacres Court resident was in a parked car with his mother on Hawthorne Extension when Borders allegedly reached through a car window and snatched a bottle of pills, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.
The victim exited the vehicle and chased after Borders, who allegedly turned and pointed a gun, police said.
When the victim’s mother caught up to him, she urged her son to leave because the pills “were not worth getting shot over,” according to police.
