As a search enters its fourth day, concern is mounting over the well being of a missing elderly Athens woman who has dementia.
Lilie Mae Wade, 77, of West Hawthorne Avenue, was last seen late Friday afternoon on Dairy Pak Road in northern Athens off Barber Street.
In the days that followed an extensive search has been conducted using police K-9 units and the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Unit.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has issued several alerts with requests for assistance from the public, and in the latest alert Monday morning, Wade was described as a “vulnerable missing adult.”
Family members told police that she has wandered off before and was once located on University of Georgia property.
Wade is 5’6” with short gray hair, and was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and shortsleeved blue shirt over a longsleeved gray shirt.
Police are asking members of the public to appear Wade if they see her and to call 911.
