Science fact of the day: Dholes can whistle

Dholes are part of the Canidae family along with wolves, coyotes, jackals, and foxes, but these wild dogs communicate in a unique way — they emit eerie, distinct whistles.

They also make clucks (like chickens) and high-pitched screams — and interestingly, neither of these sounds are made by any other members of the Canidae family.
