In the day to day of our busy lives, there are often too many issues and too many immediate challenges to see the bigger picture. But once in a while, the smallest event can provide the greatest clarity.
We all know what happened on January 6, 2021- the Capitol Building in Washington DC was stormed by a mob of our fellow citizens. In the aftermath there have been accusations, investigations, and yes, criminal convictions of many of the protesters.
Throughout it all, Donald Trump has maintained his innocence as instigator of the events. Indeed, during the recent presidential debate, former President Trump stated he had “nothing to do with” the attack. He wants us to think he was simply a neutral bystander.
“Peacefully and patriotically, I said during my speech,”characterizing in neutral terms his “How to” instructions to the rally attendees. But, he went on to reveal where he truly stands when he added “Ashli Babbitt was shot by an out-of-control police officer that should have never, ever, shot her. AND NOBODY ON THE OTHER SIDE WAS KILLED.”
(Lets step back and review. Ashli Babbitt was a rally attendee who forcefully stormed and entered the Capitol. She was subsequently shot by a United States Capitol Police officer while attempting to climb through a shattered window leading to the Speaker’s lobby. She later died of her wound in a local hospital.)
To Donald Trump, on January 6 there were two “sides” engaged in battle in the Capitol. A supporter on his “side” was killed while storming the building. The “other side” included the Capitol Police and others who attempted to protect the building. Nothing to do with the attack? Not so fast- his very words reveal his actions and true allegiance.

Repeatedly beating a dead horse all you got Richard? There’s so much more you could cry about since that happening. I suggest you go with the gazillion drummed up felony charges.
You know, the ones that aren’t sticking, but if you’ll pray a little more about them maybe one will. I think you can do better and be a little more creative. 🤔
😆
Sometimes we need to stop and consider where our opinions come from. Few people realize that their opinions are assigned to them by the news media. They think they come to their opinions and beliefs because they are smart and know the facts. In reality, they adopt the narrative fed to them by the media and then rationalize those opinions in order to maintain their concept of self.
I bet that's how Richard developed his opinions on Trump, J6 protestors and Republican voters.
I could be wrong.
Did Richard believe the media when they told him Jussie Smollett was assaulted by MAGA voters at 2am in downtown Chicago in sub-zero winter temps? I bet he did.
