Science fact of the day: World’s smallest toucan is the tawny-tufted toucanet

The world’s smallest toucan is the Tawny-Tufted Toucanet (Selenidera nattereri).

It measures just 12.5 inches in length — that’s roughly half the size of the largest toucan, the Toco Toucan (Ramphastos toco).
