Released today by the Gwinnett County Police Department Norcross, Ga., Jan. 16, 2026) – On January 14, 2026, Gwinnett County Police responded to a disturbance at the Social Security office located at 4365 Shackleford Road in Norcross. Officers spoke with multiple witnesses who provided a video of the incident. Employees identified the individual in the video as 65-year-old Robert Burke. In the video, Burke can be seen making threats and verbally insulting several individuals.

DeLorean Elise Strickland, 38, of Hull, was charged with exploitation and neglect of a victim over 65 years old and trafficking methamphetamine, according to the indictment filed Tuesday in Superior Court. The indictment stems from Strickland’s arrest in October for allegedly allowing the elderly woman to harm herself by not providing adequate supervision

Available for anyone who needs some time to escape the cold. Please note, this facility is not intended to serve as an overnight sleeping shelter
